Small Game Tables – Fun for Everyone

Posted: December 23rd, 2009 under Home furniture.

It seems that when most men grow up and move into their own place, whether this is a bachelor pad or maybe a small house or apartment with the wife, they all want a pool table. Its a universally fun game but the problem generally is, a pool table takes up a lot of space, more than many people have. Men, do not let this crush your dream of owning your own pool table. Why not buy a slightly smaller 7 ft. table? Its the same game and does not require as much space, and I would say the wife would probably go for it.

Small pool tables and bumper pool are great fun for a limited space but they are also great to start kids out on. If you have children and want to share the sport of playing pool with them, a 7 ft pool table would be a great way to start out because it is much easier and encouraging for the child to use. Another great game table for children that is fun for the whole family is bumper pool. Bumper pool of course is a totally different game that has been popular for smaller game rooms since the 1970′s. In bumper pool there are several bumpers in the middle and on each end of the table adding excitement. Also, it is not about hitting the cue ball into other balls and into the pockets, yet it is still a very strategic game. It is slightly easier, more relaxed, and less complicated; an ideal game to play with your children and have fun doing it. Of course if you have a basement, then you would want to get shuffleboard tables so whole family can enjoy the game.
To sum up, if you are one of those guys that just does not have room for a full sized pool table, or wants to get a table that will be a perfect bonding opportunity for you and your children, why not try a smaller 7 ft. table or a combination game table. These tables are also much more economical so if you are not in the mood to drop thousands of dollars on a full sized table, why not just pay a few hundred dollars for one of these.
